The blend of her experience as a practice management consultant, fraud examiner, and Director of Business Development for Practice by Numbers propels Danya Montoya in the perfect position to partner with Dr. Erika Grimm and launch DSO Success Consulting. With experience in the dental field since 1993, Danya has only known and perfected one profession. She is also a published author and a compelling national speaker engaging each audience with pearls of wisdom to take back to their practice. Danya has written articles for online dental blogs and is published in Dental Economics. She was a featured speaker at the Iowa Dental Association Annual Meeting in 2019 and has presented for many Henry Schein Dental events over the years. Beginning as a Clinical Assistant and working her way to the role of an Office Manager she leaned on the knowledge of the numbers in the practice. Advancing into the coaching aspect of her career, she depended on spreadsheets and data sent in by teams to manage multiple offices and locations across the country. With the development of Practice by Numbers, Danya was able to manage the data of multiple locations and hundreds of team members in an instant unlike any practice management software has ever been able to perform. This has opened doors for practices and unlocked areas of growth and potential. As a Fraud Examiner she is pulled into the software of the practice. Danya relies on her knowledge and skillset to identify areas of opportunity where larcenous employees can lurk within the numbers potentially finding ways to wreak havoc in a harmonious dental life. Being overwhelmed by the numbers in the practice can paralyze the growth and success of the business. Dr. Erika Grimm graduated from University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 2003 and immediately began practicing in her hometown of Morton, Illinois. In partnership, she owned and managed her practice from 2004 – 2014, when she purchased the other 50% of the practice, growing it from a 4 operatory – 2 doctor practice to a 9 operatory – 3 doctor practice. After purchasing the other 50% of the practice in 2014, the value of the practice increased from $1 million to $1.8 million in just three short years. She attributes this growth to the implementation of essential elements used by DSO Success Consulting today. She is the co-founder of DSO Success Consulting, primarily focusing on coaching and supporting the clinical team. She is the primary creator and consultant of DSO Success Consulting’s Advanced Non-surgical Periodontal Program and Associate Doctor Excellence Program and co-creator and consultant for the Comprehensive Consulting and Focused Essential Process Programs. She continues to practice dentistry part-time, focusing on Full Mouth Rehabilitation and Smile Rejuvenation. She utilizes the latest in digital dentistry to design and fabricate the beautiful smiles she delivers to her patients.
